Down The Aisle
“Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy. They are the charming gardeners who make our souls bloom.”
I can’t take the credit for this thought I, of course, found it while web surfing. It does however convey the importance that having our closest family and friends with us is what it takes to begin one of the most important events of a lifetime.
With that being said, Spring is also one of the best seasons to begin anew as well. As everything around us is being restored, renewed, and revived, why not chose this season to start the beginning of your new
union.
Mark Twain said that “to get the full value of joy, you must have someone to divide it with.”
So, get your invitation list and those Spring color palettes ready, and start planning! Here are just a few ideas that I hope you can find
some inspiration from.

THE CEREMONY
Spring is of course, a bit tricky when it comes to weather. Although we have hosted some of the most beautiful outdoor ceremonies here at The Chet, taking a chance on being outdoors is something to think long and hard about in the spring. Not that it’s completely out of the question, but you’ve got to consider that here in central Pa, spring has very unpredictable weather. The guys are not affected as much by chillier temps because they’ll of course have jackets but you’ll want to be sure that your bridesmaids are appropriately attired. A bridal wrap, cape, or pashmina is a must for your girls, and you as well, just in case!
A CAKE WITH SPRINGTIME FLAIR
Springtime is a season for fruits or florals and there are endless flavors that all shout spring wedding! Strawberry cake with strawberry filling and fresh berries for decoration would be lovely, as well as both coconut or almond cake with lemon cream. Banana-walnut and cream cheese and also lemon with raspberry are all excellent spring choices. If chocolate is your favorite, however, what would be better for spring than chocolate with a chocolate-cherry ganache filling.

MAKE IT YOUR OWN
Spring wedding dresses tend to lean towards softer skirts and beautiful lace, and bridesmaids dressed are pastel color palettes or even neutrals with a mix of styles to complement each girl’s shape. But remember, each wedding couple is unique and has their own love story to tell. So, when choosing your wedding theme, you can use trending ideas, but this is your special day and it should be about you as a couple and everything you’ve been dreaming of.
